If your friend is having issues with allocating time to their work there are a number of things you can do to help
- Help them establish a timetable, allocating work to assignments, projects as well as commitments like tutorials, lectures and paid work. Remember they need at least 3 hours of non-work a day!
- Suggest ‘to do’ lists for each day and prioritise the list.
- Suggest an organised desk area to minimise time trying to find things.
- Help them to determine the time of day that they are most energised and schedule the hardest tasks here.
If you look at the section on Difficulties with Studying you will find more tips about using time effectively.
